Record signing Marouane Fellaini headed a second-half equaliser to give Everton a well-earned point against champions Manchester United who took the lead through Darren Fletcher. Elsewhere on Saturday, Sunderland ended their 28-year wait for a home victory over Newcastle winning 2-1 and Hull, the season's surprise package, went joint top of the league after beating West Brom 3-0.
